Well, first of all, let me say thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes!! A special thanks to my little Ethann who made his Mommy feel so special. So, most of you who have met Ethann knows that he has a very extensive vocabulary and LOVES to talk. I mean it is non-stop from the time he wakes up till the time he goes to sleep!
Well yesterday, as he is laying beside me (somehow he ends up in our bed by morning), Ryan whispers to him that today is my birthday. He doesn't believe it... "It's not Mommy's birthday!" Well these comments continue for most of the morning until I drop him off at school. His teacher says, "Oh it's your Mommy's birthday?" "No, it's not her birthday" was E's response. So, I'm like whatever, birthday's aren't that big of a deal to me anyway.
Fast forward to when I pick him up from daycare and what has my wonderful boy made for me...a beautiful card with his handprints and sprinkled with glitter and the words Happy BDAY! Well, I say "I thought it wasn't Mommy's birthday" and he says "Mommy you're silly, of course it's your birthday!" As if I'm the crazy one! :)
Later on that night as he tries to wake from his sleepy stupor so I can tell him good night, I lean down and give him a kiss and tell him I love him and before I leave the room I hear, "Happy Birthday Mommy".
I melted...I love you Bubba :)
